Job Description

MAAC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the management of multifamily rental housing development projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Real Estate Development Department to coordinate project tasks, identify and negotiate site acquisitions, and secure financing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating real estate development project tasks at all phases of the development process.
  • Identify and negotiate site acquisitions, and arrange for due diligence evaluations.
  • Coordinate local government review and approval processes for real estate developments.
  • Identify and select development team members and consultants.
  • Secure acquisition, predevelopment, construction, and/or permanent financing.
  • Promote community development goals by ensuring disadvantaged businesses and low-income individuals participate in the development process.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree candidate in Real Estate Development, Land Use Planning, General Construction, Affordable Housing, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and real estate databases.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Relate positively and effectively with children and families of various cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
