Position OverviewSUMMARY

Cadrex is seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to manage both manual and CNC machinery in accordance with production and product requirements to fabricate small to medium-sized components, either as standalone items or as parts of larger assemblies.

PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Utilizes CNC machinery to manufacture production components and assemblies.
  • Operates manual equipment such as saws, mills, and lathes.
  • Accurately positions components using various fastening methods.
  • Employs hand-held, electrical, and pneumatic tools as necessary.
  • Handles lifting equipment when required.
  • Utilizes precision measurement instruments as needed.
  • Identifies different material types used in the department and adjusts machinery accordingly.
  • Recognizes worn tools and performs necessary machine changes.
  • Confirms the precision of finished products or batch inspections.
  • Reports any defective materials, discrepancies, process issues, or non-compliant products to the Department Lead.
  • Keeps the workspace and equipment clean and orderly, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Completes all required documentation, including production sheets.
  • Efficiently sets up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials, ensuring machine settings and program parameters are accurate.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience as a CNC Operator with a minimum of 2-3 years in CNC machining.
  • Expertise in machine setup, tool changes, offsets, and program modifications. Familiarity with G-code programming is advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC machine operation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a dedication to producing high-quality results.
  • Robust problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Commitment to safety practices and maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Physical endurance and the capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This position involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to heights, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequent exposure to vibration is also expected. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, with hearing protection required in certain areas.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, and communicate effectively. Occasional requirements include sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
