Job Summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe preparation and dispensing of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of pharmacy technicians
  • Partner with the pharmacy manager to ensure the daily performance of medication preparation and dispensing activities
  • Monitor productivity, quality of work, and completion of assignments
  • Ensure pharmacy work areas are maintained, medication distribution systems operate reliably, and all legal and regulatory requirements are met
  • Recruit, orient, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff
  • Schedule staff and ensure appropriate staff coverage
  • Assist in the development and administration of departmental policies and procedures
  • Resolve operational and staff issues or conflicts
  • Work collaboratively with technicians to improve work processes
  • Oversee pharmacy staff development and promote the advancement of pharmacy technician staff
  • Identify areas for cost control and waste management, making recommendations and participating in process improvement
  • Participate in compliance and quality improvement activities
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure excellent customer service
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of combined supervisory and technician experience in a pharmacy or equivalent
  • Associates degree or higher in a management or health-related field preferred
  • Substantial knowledge of technician duties and demonstrated high level of precision, responsibility, efficiency, and judgment required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and set priorities, making critical decisions
  • Effective problem-solving, change management, and communication skills essential
  • Required licensure/certifications: Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) and NH Board of Pharmacy
