Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the EverStaff team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in maintaining company policies and operational processes. This role plays a critical part in driving daily sales and profit results, managing inventory accuracy, and ensuring store standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Merchandising and Sales Floor Management: Review the sales floor daily to identify merchandising opportunities and ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  2. Sales Performance and Staff Motivation: Review daily sales goals and motivate staff to meet or exceed sales targets.
  3. Operational Excellence: Ensure all company policies and processes are executed at a high level, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  4. Talent Acquisition and Development: Actively recruit, interview, and hire exceptional talent to join the EverStaff team.
  5. Accountability and Fairness: Support an environment of accountability and fairness, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.
  6. Employee Development: Develop each store employee to be effective in their current role, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  7. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all safety requirements are validated and audits are completed on time, maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
  1. Sales Data Analysis: Ability to interpret sales reporting data to improve store performance and drive business growth.
  2. Leadership and Coaching: Strong desire to exceed expectations and achieve both personal and financial success, with the ability to coach and develop staff to be effective in their current role.
  3. Customer Service and Communication: Exceptional customer service and interpersonal/communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  4. Financial and Performance Goals: Dedicated daily ownership of financial and performance goals, with a focus on driving business results.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Two years of experience in Retail Assistant Store Management or three years of related management experience.
  2. Education: High-school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Schedule and Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including outside of normal business operating hours.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficient with various computer systems/software, including Point of Sale, OUTLOOK, EXCEL, and WORD.
