We are seeking a skilled Medical Records Supervisor to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the medical records department and ensuring that all medical information is accurately maintained and up-to-date.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration and excellent leadership skills. You will be responsible for supervising a team of medical records technicians, managing medical records systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of medical records technicians
- Manage medical records systems, including electronic health records (EHRs) and paper-based systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and ICD-10
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for medical records management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in medical records management or a related field
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
