Position: Retrofit Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations, repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial heating and cooling systems.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, fan coil units, water treatment systems, controls, and other mechanical and electrical equipment within buildings.
  • Collaborate with the Dispatch Team to ensure timely and complete execution of workload.
  • Adhere to safe work practices in compliance with OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards while performing assigned tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining similar commercial equipment, including installation experience.
  • Universal CFC certification/EPA certification is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions and perform tasks with minimal supervision in isolated settings.
  • Knowledge and experience in the safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary for all work assignments.
  • Valid Driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at elevated heights.
  • Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection.
  • Familiarity with desktop computers and internet-based programs for required training.
  • Commitment to wearing a company uniform and maintaining a professional appearance.
