About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced RN to provide high-quality patient care in the operating room. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the OR suite, evaluating patient surgical status, and assisting anesthesia with medication administration.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare the OR suite for new admissions and maintain a safe and efficient environment
- Evaluate and assess patient surgical status, documenting all findings
- Assist anesthesia with medication administration, including blood products and conscious sedation
- Monitor and intervene as needed with patients receiving conscious sedation
- Maintain thorough knowledge of OR equipment and perform new procedures as needed
- Perform initial vital signs and admission history, including introduction to patient and family
- Obtain and document accurate systems assessment at the beginning of each procedure
- Respond to diagnostic data and initiate appropriate action or intervention
- Assess patient education needs and psychosocial needs specific to patients age, growth, and development
- Initiate plan of care within eight hours of admission and establish priorities for patient care
- Current FL RN License
- BLS required
- CNOR preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience scrubbing and circulating through various service lines
