Registered Nurse Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a Registered Nurse Leader, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and leading our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Healthcare Team: Establish a personalized relationship with patients and their support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
- Patient Care: Act with patient advocacy when implementing the interdisciplinary plan of care, collaborating with healthcare team to educate patient and their support system, analyzing, modifying, and implementing strategies to progress the patient through their plan of care.
- Communication: Utilize appropriate communication tools when communicating within the interdisciplinary team and when handing off patient care, communicating individualized plan of care to the patient and his/her chosen support system, and documenting appropriate information in a timely manner.
- Teamwork: Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members/internal customers to provide efficient treatment of patients, developing team members through mentoring, precepting, orientation, and providing feedback, resolving conflicts independently, and accepting responsibility for actions and responding positively upon feedback from others.
- Medical Knowledge: Demonstrate medical skills to provide required patient care, operating various equipment, providing routine nursing care, assisting in critical situations, administering and evaluating medication therapies, and performing patient transfers and transports.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required, 4 Year/bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Licensure: Current RN licensure in applicable state required, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring required (C-EFM or AWHONN Intermediate /Advanced).
- Additional Skills/Requirements: Ability to perform basic nursing skills on groups of patients, ability to assume charge responsibility, ability to multitask and prioritize quickly, ability to administer medication utilizing the five rights, and basic computer knowledge.
