Job Summary

Monument Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Resource Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in our Pediatric Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will serve as a resource to physicians, staff, patients, and families, promoting Patient and Family-Centered Care. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a nursing resource to clinical staff, patients, and families, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Mentor employees in the development and enhancement of clinical skills, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
  • Collaborate with Hospital Coordinators and Physicians to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring seamless care transitions.
  • Establish and implement nursing care plans, utilizing the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Manage the delivery of nursing care, delegating responsibilities to ensure safe patient care while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Perform quality control audits, monitoring and documenting problems related to nursing issues, accuracy, and quality of care.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly and professionally to customer requests, problems, and concerns.
Requirements
  • Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in South Dakota.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
