Job Summary

This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, providing individualized care and support to help them achieve their best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation Assessment:
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
  • Perform age and disease-specific assessment/data collection independently in a systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
  • Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
  • Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age, disease, and culturally specific learning differences.
  • Plan:
  • Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Formulate age and disease-specific patient/family-centered goals/outcomes based on assessment data.
  • Develop and coordinate a plan of care that is patient/family-focused, prioritized, and encompasses the continuum of care.
  • Implementation:
  • Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
  • Provide ongoing communication with patient/family, nursing colleagues, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient status, rendered care, and treatment plans.
  • Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized and timely manner.
  • Provide or coordinate patient/family education as needed and ensure understanding.
  • Perform according to established protocols in clinical situations, including communicating with appropriate persons and documenting events.
  • Provide nursing care and treatments that reflect patients' needs, advocate appropriately, and demonstrate evidence-based nursing practice and compliance with standards.
  • Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of each individual patient's assessments, plan-of-care, interventions, and evaluation of rendered care.
  • Medication administration utilizing the newest advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies designed to ensure the safest delivery of medications to our patients.
  • Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and bring them to the attention of other team members.
  • Recognize and respond to opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain competencies, certifications, and continuing education to meet facility accreditation or individual licensing requirements.
  • Adhere to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
  • Lift a minimum of 35 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 10 lbs., and stand a minimum of 6 hours a day.
  • Adhere to HMH's Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards of behavior.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

In order to be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have a BSN in progress and/or be willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire. Additionally, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs. A NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License and BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association are also required within 60 days of hire.

Estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required. This figure may vary depending on location and other factors.
