Job Title: Front Desk Ambassador

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Front Desk Ambassador to join our team at Beacon Health System. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and performing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet members and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our facility.
  • Process membership applications, renewals, and other administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handle cash transactions, including sales, refunds, and balance collections, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to financial protocols.
  • Perform light cleaning duties, restocking supplies, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries from members and staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and provide excellent customer service across all channels.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a receptionist, front desk attendant, or in a customer service role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating an electronic computer cash drawer and balancing cash transactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Certification in CPR is required, with arrangements to be certified within three months of employment.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in an athletic club environment with frequent interruptions, potential of increased noise level, and some discomfort due to cool temperatures.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
