Essential Functions- Perform ongoing site visits to observe and document safety behaviors and work conditions to ensure a safety focus throughout all phases of electric construction projects.
- Coordinate with Operations teams to create site-specific safety plans; actively participate in safety meetings to review job hazard analysis and hazard recognition tools.
- Participate in project kick off and progress meetings.
- Support client-specific safety requirements programs and ensure alignment and compliance between client expectations, company rules, and applicable safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to environmental protection or occupational health and safety.
- Coach and mentor project site personnel regarding safety practices and behaviors on an ongoing basis.
- Conduct proactive behavior-based and quality-focused field safety observations and PPE hazard assessments.
- Partner with Safety, Safety Training & Operations teams to schedule or facilitate required employee trainings: New hire orientation, OSHA ETD Quarterly refresher training, Customer required training, Post-incident training as part of a Corrective Action Plan, and Participate in site-specific safety planning.
- Conduct accident/injury investigations including root cause analyses.
- Provide support to Operations organization for incident case management and documentation steps.
- Follow-up with Operations organization to ensure completion of corrective actions for all accidents and incidents.
- Support company safety committees by assisting in assessment of safety performance trends, implementing process, and tool improvements.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Level I:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one (1) safety certification is preferred, examples include: Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Safety Management Specialist (SMS), Specialist in Safety and Health (SSH), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Undergraduate degree in Safety Management or related field preferred; combination of relevant experience and education considered in lieu of degree.
Level II:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles - required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent - required.
- Minimum of one (1) safety certification is preferred, examples include: Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Safety Management Specialist (SMS), Specialist in Safety and Health (SSH), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Undergraduate degree in in Occupational Safety & Health Management, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene or related technical field preferred; combination of relevant experience and education considered in lieu of degree.
- Problem-solving and situation analysis skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite programs, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence behavior.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of OSHA and other industry-related safety regulations.
- Must be a team player able to work with co-workers, different departments and outside contacts and maintain strong relationships.

- Ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of electric construction project management practices and procedures.
- Ability to travel for job site visits for extended periods of time.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary $73,000-$105,000 / yearCommensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
