POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the preparation and serving of meals while ensuring cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas, as directed by the Food Service Director or Cook. Additional tasks may be assigned by community representatives. Adherence to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies is essential, along with maintaining established standards set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in high school or possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to execute both verbal and written directions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.
- Capability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff.
- Understanding of proper safety and sanitation techniques.
- Availability to work scheduled hours as required by the position.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.
Experience:
- Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Full-Time positions available
- Shifts available: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM
- Compensation: Starting at $13.00 per hour
- Sign-on Bonus: $1,000 (paid quarterly)
