Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist II to join our team at Penn State Health. As a key member of our Noninvasive Cardiology department, you will be responsible for conducting stress tests and other non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, utilizing your clinical knowledge and professional judgment to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer treadmill and ergometer protocols for stress tests, monitoring and interpreting EKG tracings, and determining appropriate testing protocols.
  • Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias, utilizing BLS and ACLS skills, and obtain emergency medical equipment as needed.
  • Maintain operational knowledge of Noninvasive Cardiology equipment, including troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as scheduling procedures, inventory management, and transporting patients.
  • Train and precept new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Perform electrocardiograms, recognizing and interpreting rhythm patterns, and notifying physicians of abnormal results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
