Certification Requirements- NBRC Certification: Mandatory
- Advanced Life Support Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP required
- Traveling Role: RRT
- Start Date: Immediate
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Timing: Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM
- Graduation from a CoARC Accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care
- Successful completion of the NBRC Examination for Certified Respiratory Therapist
This position requires availability for night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist is responsible for adhering to established protocols set forth by the medical staff and department policies to ensure timely and effective care for both inpatients and outpatients. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Administering medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas
- Maintaining patient airways and managing ventilators
- Inserting arterial lines and performing intubations
- Conducting pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests
- Collecting and analyzing blood gases
This role is essential in providing comprehensive respiratory care and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their treatment journey.
