Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner

As a Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner at Houston Methodist, you will play a key role in leading a team of respiratory care professionals in providing exceptional patient care and services. This position requires strong leadership and clinical skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of respiratory care professionals in providing patient care and services
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide education and training to respiratory care professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Conduct quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- At least 4 years of experience as a respiratory care practitioner, with 2 years of experience in ICU, neonatal, and/or ER settings
- Lead/supervisor experience
- Strong leadership and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- NRP or PALS certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
