Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care.
About the RoleThe Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers respiratory care services to patients in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department. This includes performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, monitoring patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, and administering respiratory care therapies.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
To be considered for this role, you must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner issued by the Texas Medical Board and a Registered Respiratory Therapist issued by the NRBC. You must also have an Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Certificate from an accredited respiratory program.
