Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a Pharmacy Professional, you will be responsible for evaluating physician orders, monitoring medication effectiveness and safety, and ensuring the quality of medication dispensing. You will also provide patient care services and serve as a resource for drug information to the medical and nursing staff.
Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Professional, your key responsibilities will include:
- Order Verification: Review medication orders and patient profiles for potential drug interactions and therapeutic duplications. Make recommendations to providers and document interventions as needed.
- Medication Dispensing: Perform medication verification as required by law and oversee technician preparation of medication orders, including hospital compounded medications.
- Departmental Support: Participate in product selection, procurement, and receiving of pharmaceuticals, and provide medication-related education and information to providers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: A BS degree in Pharmacy from an approved College of Pharmacy.
- Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice is preferred.
- License: Registered Pharmacist in the state of IL and IA.
- Skills: Efficient time management, prioritization, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork.

Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
