Are you an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer eager to contribute to a vibrant team at Uline?
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and uphold standards for electrical and fire safety systems to align with Uline's specifications and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and acquire emergency power generators and related electrical apparatus, overseeing their delivery, installation, and commissioning.
- Determine and source warehouse illumination and lighting control systems, supervising their installation and commissioning.
- Evaluate subcontractor change order pricing for accuracy in labor hours, material quantities, and profit margins.
- Collaborate with external design engineers on construction initiatives and facilitate the resolution of any issues.
- Assess electrical and fire safety system submissions to ensure adherence to design objectives and Uline's standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in specifying and implementing new building systems.
- Understanding of construction methodologies and HVAC, electrical, and fire safety systems.
- Familiarity with building codes, fire life safety regulations, ADA, and other relevant standards.
- Experience with Data Center UPS, generators, fire protection, and related systems.
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural, MEP, Structural, and Civil plans and specifications.
