Job Summary

As a Sprinkler System Inspector at Johnson Controls, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on sprinkler systems, including wet/dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, fire hydrants, and backflow prevention devices. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with National, State, and Local codes, as well as maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of sprinkler systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on sprinkler systems
  • Ensure compliance with National, State, and Local codes
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements
  • 5+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems
  • Knowledgeable of NFPA 25 & NFPA 13
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly
