Key Responsibilities- Monitor and Document Patient Vital Signs: Accurately record and document patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate, to ensure timely and effective treatment.
- Provide Technical Support: Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures, surgeries, and other medical interventions, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Comfort, Diagnostic, Surgical, and Nursing Care: Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients, including administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Anesthetic Monitoring: Monitor patients under anesthesia, ensuring their safety and well-being during medical procedures.
- Sample Preparation: Collect and prepare samples for diagnostic testing, including blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, and other procedures.
- Laboratory Procedures: Perform various laboratory tests, including blood typing, cross-matching, and slide agglutination testing, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Radiography: Accurately take and process radiographs, following radiation safety protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly use and maintain medical equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
- Client Communication: Provide professional and empathetic communication with clients, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their pets' care.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician, with a strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills to daily work life.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate technical procedures and provide clear updates to clients.
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Competitive Salary: $22 - $36 per hour, based on experience, plus a shift differential and ICU pay.
