Job Description

Job Summary:

The NRG Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Advocacy Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission and goals through effective policy advocacy and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development and Advocacy: Develop and implement comprehensive policy strategies to advance our organization's goals and objectives.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including advocacy groups, community leaders, and government officials.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and mentor a team of policy associates and interns, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Project Management: Oversee the development and implementation of projects, including research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, community partners, and government officials.

Requirements:

  • Policy Advocacy Expertise: 3-5 years of experience in policy advocacy, with a strong understanding of grassroots and legislative advocacy campaigns.
  • Project Management: Proven project management skills, including planning, strategy, and budgeting.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Equity and Inclusion: Commitment to equity and inclusion, with a strong understanding of the needs and perspectives of diverse communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Policy Advocacy Experience: Experience working on policy advocacy campaigns, with a strong understanding of the legislative process.
  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in a related field, such as public policy or political science.
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak an Asian language, or previous experience working with the Asian American community.
