Turbine Generator Technician III

Join VoltaGrid as a Turbine Generator Technician III and take on a challenging role that requires expertise in diagnosing and repairing natural gas turbine generators. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for verifying and adjusting breaker settings, inspecting and recommending repairs to increase generator reliability, and helping to train technicians on advanced troubleshooting techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on turbine generator units, including engine and generator maintenance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose problems with power generation equipment, including generator controls AC and DC.
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
  • Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot and repair complex issues.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in turbine engine maintenance, preferably on Solar Turbines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose electrical problems.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records electronically.
