Nurse Practitioner II

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the cardiac care unit. The NP assesses patients, performs physical examinations, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, including pacemaker insertion and cardiac catheterization
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care and coordination
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Cardiology
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a cardiac care unit or similar setting
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
