Overview
+ The Armed Security Officer is a trained professional who has completed all necessary training, holding the authority to enforce federal regulations. This role encompasses a variety of critical responsibilities, including but not limited to: responding to emergencies, enforcing applicable laws, conducting patrols and inspections, managing traffic enforcement, initiating arrests, and ensuring the safety of personnel and property.
Key Responsibilities
+ Adhere to all organizational policies and safety protocols while performing duties safely.
+ Arrive at the workplace in the designated uniform and equipped with necessary tools.
+ Be prepared to utilize force when necessary, including the potential for lethal force.
+ Participate in daily briefings, receive post assignments, and follow any additional instructions provided.
+ Execute general and specific orders relevant to assigned posts.
+ Communicate effectively using radio and telephone as per directives.
+ Engage with the public and government officials as required.
+ Provide access control, manage traffic, and conduct both foot and vehicle patrols.
+ Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of uniform and equipment.
+ Follow established procedures and regulations regarding the security of personnel, property, and equipment.
+ Conduct thorough checks of individuals, vehicles, and facilities, as well as inspect packages.
+ Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
+ As a critical role, be prepared to respond to emergencies, including natural disasters.
+ Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED is required.
+ Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
+ A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in military or law enforcement is preferred.
+ Must be honorably discharged if applicable.
+ Completion of required certifications is necessary within specified timeframes.
+ Valid driver's license is mandatory.
+ Ability to obtain a security clearance is essential.
+ Must comply with drug testing and maintain an alcohol-free environment.
+ Proficiency in English is required, including the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
+ No history of illegal drug use or felony convictions is acceptable.
+ Must meet physical fitness standards and pass agility tests as outlined.
+ Compliance with federal employment verification requirements is mandatory.
