Job Opportunity

2nd Chance Clinic, a leading outpatient addiction treatment organization in Lexington, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care and customer service
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations
  • Manage medication inventory and ensure accurate dispensing
  • Administer medication and monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Offer education and support to patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation
  • Ensure office organization and administration
  • Perform urine collection and venipuncture (if trained)
  • Adhere to regulations and legislation
  • Document patient medical history and update records
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records and insurance prior authorizations
  • Arrange for laboratory services
  • Prepare and clean clinic and treatment rooms
  • Inventory supplies for purchasing
  • Organize, track, and prepare encounter forms for billing
  • Report any issues to supervisors immediately
  • Assist physicians with administrative duties
  • Organize and track billing encounters

Requirements:

  • LPN license in the State of Kentucky
  • 1-2 years experience in methadone treatment preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
  • Exemplary attention to detail
