Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our engineering and design team, you will be responsible for creating 3D CAD models and design documentation of electrical components and enclosures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex electrical components and assemblies using Creo 6.0 or higher.
  • Perform component layout analysis to identify failure points and features for optimization.
  • Document the design process and assist other engineers and designers in the business unit locally and globally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete assignments and meet project deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electrical design and CAD software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • 7 years of experience in electrical design and CAD software, preferably with variable speed drives and control panels.
  • Advanced knowledge of Creo 6.0 or higher, including sheet metal layout, assembly drawings, and wiring schematics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present information to internal customers.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 10% per year.
