Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Palos Hills, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to work in our radiology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating advanced radiology equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring high-quality images are obtained for radiologists to review.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate advanced radiology equipment, including CT scanners, MRI machines, and X-ray units.
  • Position patients correctly for imaging procedures, using immobilization and support devices as needed.
  • Ensure high-quality images are obtained for radiologists to review, using appropriate radiographic techniques and positioning.
  • Assist radiologists with procedures, including basic and specialty procedures.
  • Maintain patient safety and quality patient care by adhering to all accepted safety standards and practices.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining patient records, answering telephones, and scheduling examinations.
  • Coordinate quality control tasks, including checking film quality and ensuring proper labeling.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • IDNS license.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a general radiographer.
  • Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT.
  • CPR certification.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, making independent professional decisions pertaining to high-quality patient care. The ability to lift and/or move patients, work under stressful conditions, and deal with extremely ill patients is essential.
