About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Palos Hills, Illinois. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the most appropriate radiological technique and position for patients, utilizing immobilization and support devices as needed.
  • Operate advanced and sophisticated radiology equipment, assisting radiologists with procedures and ensuring the highest quality images.
  • Adhere to all accepted safety standards and practices, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Coordinate quality control tasks, ensuring the highest quality images and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Provide instruction and orientation to new technologists, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • IDNS license.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a general radiographer.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Health Information System.
  • Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT.
  • CPR certification.
  • Licensed by IDNS.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Able to make independent professional decisions pertaining to high-quality patient care.
  • High degree of technical skills.
  • Ability to function with minimal assistance in performing job activities.
  • Ability to deal with extremely ill patients.
  • Ability to lift and/or move patients.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions, in difficult situations.
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts during Center's hours of operation.
