The Carl E. Dahl House Recovery Program is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a Co-Occurring Enhanced Recovery Home and Therapeutic Farm Community, providing guidance and direction to residents.

Job Description:

The Recovery Specialist will oversee resident activities, monitor medication intake, facilitate therapeutic groups, and perform daily headcounts and wellness checks. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise daily schedules of The Carl E. Dahl House Recovery Program and its residents
  • Monitor and manage residents' prescribed medication(s), including refills and disposal of discontinued medication(s)
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups using established curricula and document progress notes detailing attendance and participation
  • Perform resident headcounts and wellness checks on all floors of the house and in all outbuildings
  • Prepare typed and/or legibly written reports as required and document relevant information in shift change logs
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and monthly in-service trainings
  • Monitor resident activity and physical plant conditions to ensure safety of residents and coworkers
  • Transport residents as necessary
  • Represent GAAMHA/Carl E. Dahl House in the community and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values and professional standards of the agency
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies governing the disclosure of client identifying information

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated capacity to support individuals in early recovery from Substance Use and Co-Occurring Mental Health Disorders with compassion and professionalism. A CADC/LADC certification or experience in residential treatment settings is preferred. The candidate must possess excellent oral, written, and social skills, cultural competency, and computer proficiency. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required. Individuals with lived experience in recovery from SUD must possess at least 1 year of continuous sobriety.

Work Schedule: Friday-Monday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

The estimated salary for this position is $$45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
