Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical **Architect IV** to join our team in Denver, CO. As an Architect IV, you will be responsible for leading the development of technical aspects and content of projects, coordinating work with all disciplines, and verifying compliance through team collaboration.

About the Role

Our ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, business acumen, and technical knowledge. You must also have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, minimum 8+ years of related professional experience, and current Architectural Registration in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead elements of design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • May lead and assist in coordination of engineering systems with engineers and consultants, actively partner with Design Leadership to carry through design intent, and coordinate with all other team members on project assignments and documents.
  • Prepare design sketches of moderate to complex site plans.
  • Communicate project status, design intent, construction updates, and other critical information in a clear and compelling way to the owner(s), consultants, and clients.
  • Participate in Business Development activity and partner with Marketing and Office Leadership as needed to help grow top line.
  • Perform field site inspections, which frequently require a physical walk-through of the site.
  • Facilitate integration of performance-based and sustainable design strategies into design solution whenever possible.
  • Participate in project teams by implementing CannonDesign Method using process expectations, best practices, reference standards, tools, templates, and technology to achieve competitive advantage, superior service delivery, and quality.
  • Create a stimulating and rewarding environment that sets the tone for design and technical excellence.
  • Provoke critical thinking and critique of work, identify and share lessons learned with teams, and provide guidance to interns and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Contribute to the technical quality of projects by enforcing the application of QA/QC process standards and requirements while ensuring all statutory requirements for the project are achieved.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of related professional experience.
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States.
  • CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Must possess business acumen.
  • Must be a critical thinker.
  • Must be highly analytical.
  • Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $86,000 to $107,500 annually, depending on final candidate qualifications and geographic location. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible spending account options, and voluntary insurances.
