We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Acme Manufacturing Co. Inc. in Denver, CO. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data infrastructure that integrates legacy systems with modern relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server.

With a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $160,000, you will enjoy a stable, full-time schedule (Monday - Friday) and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability plans, 401(k), paid holidays, and vacation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Integration & Transformation: Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to extract, transform, and load data from the Rocket Universe system into Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Back-End Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, secure on-premises database solutions for manufacturing data storage and processing, with a vision for a hybrid on-premises/cloud architecture.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Create and optimize Power BI datasets, dashboards, and reports to meet business intelligence needs, ensuring efficient data models for both Import and DirectQuery modes.
  • AI-Ready Data Solutions: Collaborate with AI teams to develop data pipelines and storage solutions tailored for machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance ETL pipelines, SQL queries, and database performance, leveraging aggregated views and OLAP structures for improved query efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in data architecture, ETL, and systems integration.
  • Proficiency with SSIS, advanced SQL skills, and experience integrating legacy systems with modern relational databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud database platforms like Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS.
  • Strong understanding of OLAP, SSAS, and other data modeling tools.
