Medical Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary:The Medical Technologist Reg(ASCP) will be responsible for providing accurate and timely patient test results for the diagnosis and management of human illness. This will involve utilizing automation and computerization, as well as manual methods, to ensure quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for handling blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids, which may be contaminated with infectious diseases including HIV and other blood-borne pathogens.
Responsibilities:- Provide accurate and timely patient test results for the diagnosis and management of human illness.
- Utilize automation and computerization, as well as manual methods, to ensure quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Handle blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids, which may be contaminated with infectious diseases including HIV and other blood-borne pathogens.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
- Superior customer service skills.
- Experience in an automated clinical laboratory.
The Medical Technologist Reg(ASCP) will work in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be required to work night shifts and will be scheduled to work 32 hours per week.
