Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality control plans to ensure the quality of assigned products or components
- Design and develop sampling procedures, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
- Evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities
- Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes
- Conduct GRR and capability studies to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and conduct process failure modes effects analysis (PFMEA) plans to identify potential failures
- Experience with PPAP activities for internal and intra-company supplied parts, including Component Risk Assessments, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation
- Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provide recommended process improvements to management
- Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality activities
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Strong understanding of lean process methodologies
- Intermediate level of computer skills in SAP and MS Office software
- ASQ-CQE Certification preferred
The candidate will be required to work in an industrial environment, which may contain hazards such as loud noise, air-borne dust, and exposure to hazards. The candidate must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and have specific vision abilities required by this job.
