We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Success Coach to join our team at Maricopa Community College District. As a Peer Success Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting new and continuing students in achieving their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with students through in-person, video chat, phone, and email to provide coaching and support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with students to understand their needs and provide timely referrals to counseling services, career guidance, academic intervention, financial support, and technology access.
- Coach students in areas of time management, study skills, and goal setting to enhance their academic success.
- Contribute to the overall success and retention of new students within their first academic year and beyond.
- Recruit students for the Peer Success Coach Program through tabling, presentations, and one-on-one connections.
- Collaborate with other departments on campus to support and increase student engagement.
- Experience in a formal or informal peer-to-peer mentoring program.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in Google Suite (Email, Docs, Sites, Sheets, and Apps).
- Desire to coach and help others achieve their goals.
- Comfortability with difficult conversations and speaking in one-on-one, small, and large group settings.
