Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiac Vascular Neuro ICU. This is a 16-bed unit focusing on vascular and neuro patient population. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of RN clinical experience, with ICU RN experience being a plus.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in our ICU. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of RN clinical experience, with ICU RN experience being a plus
  • Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required. ACLS within 90 days
  • RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
  • Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others
  • Proficient computer skills required
