POSITION SUMMARY
This is an Intermediate/Developmental Level position where, under close supervision, the individual will engage in routine reservoir engineering tasks that are limited in scope and complexity. The primary focus will be on assisting in the development of oil and gas reserves estimates and future production schedules. Additional duties may include conducting well test analyses, economic evaluations, material balances, and various recovery method assessments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct analysis of both internal and external reservoir studies.
  • Perform economic evaluations related to acquisitions, drilling, recompletion, and workover opportunities to support drilling programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to formulate economically viable development strategies for assets.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and other analyses for reporting purposes.
  • Support special studies of producing properties to estimate oil and gas reserves.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficient in computing skills with a strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with ARIES is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Spotfire and/or Power BI is advantageous.
  • Able to manage large datasets with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Self-directed while effectively collaborating in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to meet established deadlines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering is required, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This role is primarily office-based, with responsibilities that include typing, sitting, and standing. When visiting operational sites, adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment, is mandatory. Compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations is strictly enforced. Travel may be necessary for meetings, training, and field visits.
