Job Summary

The Housekeeping Assistant is a vital member of our team at Ecumen, responsible for maintaining our facilities in a clean, sanitary, and attractive condition. This role is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to providing a pleasant living environment for our residents and a safe working environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with community policies and department standards.
  • Sweep, vacuum, dust, wash, wax, scour, and sanitize areas as assigned, moving furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain all assigned areas in a safe manner, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor or leadership team.
  • Follow all regulatory compliance standards, including Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, and Fair Housing laws and regulations.
  • Maintain equipment and supply levels as needed, reporting supply/equipment needs to the supervisor.
  • Assist with any resident need, as applicable.
Requirements
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous housekeeping experience.
  • Previous experience working with seniors.
