Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist PRN Specialist to provide pharmaceutical care to patients in a clinical setting.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will compound and dispense medications and other pharmaceuticals in agreement with federal, state, and local regulations and organizational policy. They will also serve as a resource to other healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, pharmacy students, and residents. Additionally, they will consult with nursing, medical staff, and patients about medications, orders, drug details, patient reactions, errors, and complaints, or their caregivers may have responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and/or care of neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
About the Role:This role is responsible for ensuring that patient pharmaceutical care meets standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights, and customer service. The specialist will review medications for accuracy, appropriateness, and interactions, and adjust medications per approved protocols. They will also dispense medications and compounds under organizational policy and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- Less than 1 year of experience as a pharmacist
- A current Pharmacist (RPH) certification/license/registration

Estimated Salary:$80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on location and experience.
