About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Coordinator to join our team at OCLI Vision. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule surgeries and manage the surgical schedule, ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate patient medical history and clearance with our Nurse Practitioner and/or PCP, maintaining and tracking all necessary patient information.
  • Prepare surgery schedules for review by our Nurse Practitioner and/or Clinical Nurse Director, adhering to surgery scheduling department guidelines.
  • Educate and advise patients on surgical procedures, preoperative preparation, and address patient needs and concerns.
  • Collect payments and perform EMR documentation accurately, identifying proper surgery site, procedure, and special needs of the Surgeon.
  • Perform ophthalmic procedures and testing as clinical schedule requires, serving as a work-up technician.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Outgoing and comfortable interacting with patients daily.
  • Dependable problem solver, able to keep cool in stressful situations.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and work well in collaborative environments.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus, but not required.
