Physician Assistant Resident

Nuvance Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant Resident to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide medical care to patients, assist them in recovering from acute illnesses, and help minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' conditions by obtaining medical histories, physical data, and reviewing medical records.
- Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures to evaluate illnesses.
- Interpret and integrate data to determine diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Consult with other physicians and medical specialists to ensure patient and physician satisfaction.
- Record patient information, including symptoms, findings, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Instruct patients and families on diagnoses, testing, treatment, and expected outcomes.
- Evaluate treatment outcomes by reviewing diagnostic results and ensuring timely and cost-effective medical care.
- Provide medical guidance and support to physicians' assistants, nursing staff, and medical support staff.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and promote the Practice's fiscal viability.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and WCMG missions.
- Minimum experience: three years
- Desired: prior experience as a staff physician
- Location: Norwalk, CT
- Work type: Full-Time
- Standard hours: 40.00
- FTE: 1
- Work schedule: Day 8
- Work shift: rotating 8
- Essential: Professional Degree beyond Bachelor's (e.g., MD, DDS, JD)
- Essential: Substance Control Registration
