Job Summary:
Nuvance Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Resident Physician to join our Medical Education team. As a Resident Physician, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to patients, assisting them in recovering from acute illnesses, and minimizing the effects of chronic illnesses.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' conditions by obtaining complete medical histories, physical data, and reviewing medical records.
- Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures to evaluate illnesses.
- Interpret and integrate data to determine diagnoses and therapeutic treatment plans.
- Consult with other physicians and medical specialists to ensure patient and physician satisfaction.
- Record symptoms, objective findings, assessments, treatment plans, and other relevant information in patients' charts.
- Instruct patients and families about diagnoses, testing, treatment, expected outcomes, and future prevention.
- Evaluate treatment plan outcomes by reviewing diagnostic results, contacting patients, and requesting return visits.
- Provide medical guidance to physicians' assistants, nursing staff, medical support staff, and rotating interns.
- Ensure satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Promote the Practice's fiscal viability and support financial goals.
- Perform organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practice's and WCMG missions through total quality improvement.
- Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements:
- Minimum Experience: three years
- Desired: Prior experience as a staff physician
Working Conditions:
- Some manual skills and motor coordination
- Some occupational risk
- Medium to Heavy effort, exerting up to 35 lbs. force
- Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
