Position Overview

The **Licensed Vocational Nurse** plays a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the guidance of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position is essential in executing care plans, administering treatments, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with the state's nursing regulations.
  • Execute the care plan developed by a registered nurse.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with the established care plan.
  • Educate patients and their families or caregivers regarding diagnoses and care strategies.
  • Assist in coordinating home health services and communicate additional needs to the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Utilize medical equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Engage in ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the supervising registered nurse.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing or vocational nursing program.
  • A minimum of three years of nursing experience, ideally in community/home health or medical/surgical environments.
  • Current licensure as a licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse in the respective state.
  • Commitment to maintaining accepted professional standards and practices.
