Pediatric Radiologic Technologist Part Time Days

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional pediatric and adolescent medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiological exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
- Verify patient identity and review medical records to ensure appropriateness of exams or procedures.
- Conduct thorough patient interviews to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors.
- Explain procedures to patients, including potential side effects, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
- Set up equipment and acquire images as per script, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality.
- Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions from established protocols.
- Communicate data to radiologists and recognize/respond to medical emergencies as needed.
- Provide post-care instructions to patients and participate in process improvement activities within the radiology practice.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training required.
- Strong analytical and clinical skills, with ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work with diverse hospital personnel and patients.
- Technical knowledge necessary to operate specialized equipment and computers.
