Position Summary
The SBA Loan Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in facilitating and managing all elements of commercial and real estate loan transactions. This position involves collaborating with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Team Leaders to ensure seamless loan processing and portfolio oversight.
Key Responsibilities:- Process new loan applications, including conducting necessary searches and assessments.
- Input loan data into the origination system accurately.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive loan files throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Communicate with applicants to gather any outstanding documentation.
- Coordinate the ordering of appraisals and other necessary reports, ensuring timely completion.
- Track and manage all fees and deposits associated with loan transactions.
- Prepare documentation for commitment letters and ensure accuracy throughout the closing process.
- Work closely with attorneys to coordinate loan closings and prepare final paperwork.
- Verify correct input of loan information into the Bank's core processing system.
- Maintain construction loan files and monitor necessary insurance and permits.
- Prepare and submit invoices for processing.
- Assist in preparing documentation for construction and line of credit advances.
- Support the Portfolio Manager with internal reporting and loan monitoring.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to accounts and transactions.
- Adhere to all Bank policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SBA lending or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
- The capability to present information clearly and respond to inquiries effectively.
