**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan and prepare all meals for clients and staff, ensuring a balanced and varied diet.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to county health codes and ServeSafe standards.
- Source and purchase food supplies, managing inventory and ordering as needed.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with our treatment team to ensure that meals are aligned with our program's goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling procedures, including proper storage, preparation, and serving of food.
- Communicate effectively with staff and clients regarding meal plans, dietary restrictions, and food allergies.
**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Experience working in a residential treatment center or similar setting.
- Knowledge of eating disorders and their treatment preferred.
- Food Handler's Certification required; ServSafe Management Certification preferred.
- Valid California driver's license required.
- Current TB test clearance and CPR/First Aid certification required.
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality.
**Working Conditions:**
- Occasional lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds; frequent standing and walking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
