About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Sensing Product Design team at Apple. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative touch sensing systems that will revolutionize the way people interact with our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specify, develop, characterize, and validate touch sensing systems
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to generate design concepts and engineering analysis
  • Ensure designs meet Apple's high customer experience and industrial design standards
  • Support external manufacturing vendors with process development and root cause analysis
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience crafting mechanical components or systems for a production environment
  • Proficiency in 2D drafting, 3D conceptual modeling, tolerance analysis, and design trade-offs
  • Strong mechanical engineering analytical skills
  • Ability to collect and use data to advise decisions and fuel debate
  • Clear and concise communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with high volume mass production or consumer electronics
