Systems Evaluation Specialist

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) collaborates with leading contractors to deliver expert services. Role Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will operate within an Agile framework emphasizing ongoing integration and advancement of both hardware and software. Key responsibilities include executing system testing and evaluation tasks. The role involves providing assistance to system Integration and Test (I&T) engineers and technicians, aiding in the identification of root causes for issues. Responsibilities also include verifying and validating resolution efforts, performing basic hardware/software installation and maintenance tasks, managing hardware and software configurations, and documenting system test outcomes, failure reports, and documentation gaps. Regular build checkouts and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues are also essential components of this position.

Essential Skills:

  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical information, system-level diagrams, tables, slide presentations, and drawings.
  • Basic understanding of networking characteristics, standards, and equipment.
  • Aptitude for conducting troubleshooting and testing in accordance with established procedures.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience with submarine systems and subsystems.
  • Familiarity with Linux command line operations.
  • Experience with hardware setup, including wiring, server configuration, and switch installation.
  • A college degree (completed or in progress) in a relevant field, and/or military experience.
  • High School equivalency or intermediate-level experience with 0-2 years in the field.
