This role is accountable for overseeing and mentoring drivers within the Operating Company (OpCo), ensuring that deliveries are executed safely, efficiently, and punctually. The supervisor will assist in monitoring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring that drivers adhere to all relevant guidelines, and will coordinate the tracking of essential driver information.

Key Responsibilities:Supervises team members, including staffing, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution. Aids in scheduling to guarantee timely deliveries and pickups. Accompanies drivers for training and assessment purposes.Supports the Transportation/Operations Manager in the daily management of transportation and delivery operations, which may involve calculating driver payroll, reviewing trip logs and expense reports, identifying and addressing issues, and ensuring compliance with DOT and OpCo standards. Utilizes a computer system to input and retrieve data in an automated fleet management platform.Monitors driver safety by overseeing vehicle operations, safe use of equipment, and adherence to safety protocols during lifting and handling of products. Participation in quarterly safety meetings may be required.Coordinates the tracking of critical driver information, including license status, traffic violations, accidents, and other safety-related data.Ensures the accurate completion of all delivery and driver-related documentation, including invoices, cash receipts, trip reports, fuel tickets, and accident reports.Oversees the maintenance of all vehicles through thorough reviews of post-trip inspections.Collaborates with the Transportation or Operations Manager to reduce operational costs and ensure efficient routing of deliveries.Performs additional related duties as assigned, including covering routes when necessary.
