About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team in a full-service Intensive Care Unit and/or Emergency room. As a Paramedic, you will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse and Medical Director to provide patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and observation, including specified treatments and procedures, under the direction of a healthcare practitioner.
  • Collect pertinent data within your certification scope of practice and report findings to the RN or Critical Care provider.
  • Work collaboratively with RNs and Providers, including Advanced Practitioners, to provide patient care using advanced skills and judgment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • 2 years of experience as a Paramedic, with at least 6 months in a hospital setting or equivalent.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Completion of an approved Paramedic program and current certification as a paramedic in the District of Columbia.
  • Successful completion of the cognitive and psychomotor exam for the National Registry of EMTs at a Paramedic level.
  • CPI within 6 months.
